Frank Hamrick tells the story of his visit to West Texas through the creation of a unique landscape. This book was created in a concertina format, consisting of a folded sheet glued at one end to the inside back cover and forming 13 pages. The sheet bears only stains made by cooking the paper in tea. The stains stretch horizontally across the whole sheet, front and back, and are intended to suggest a panoramic view of the horizon as viewed while traveling through the American Southwest. A description of the trip by the artist appears on a foldout from the front pastedown endpaper.
